Located in the middle of Hilton Head Island at Port Royal
Plantation, The Barony Course is characterized by wider
fairways and tighter greens protected by deep bunkers
and Bermuda rough. While there are no direct oceanfront
holes, the course does play alongside the Atlantic Ocean
- and the ocean breezes can frequently can come into play.
While accuracy-club selection can become important on
many of the approach shots, an overall risk-reward approach
to the greens lends this course as playable to all skill
levels.
