HILTON HEAD ISLAND AIRPORT CLOSES FOR IMPROVEMENTS

No flights From Midnight 9/7/05 to Midnight 9/25/05

The Beaufort County Airport at Hilton Head Island is scheduled to close for 18 days in September for runway improvements.

All flights will be suspended from midnight, Sept. 7 to midnight Sept. 25 while repairs and upgrades are being made. Travelers are advised to contact their travel agents or airline representatives for alternate routes during this time period.

Emergency helicopter operations will be allowed on a taxiway near the airport fire station while runway improvements are underway.
